September 11 - The Greenville College
Lady Panthers traveled to Lincoln, Illinois Thursday night for a rematch of
their first game of the season with Lincoln Christian College. The
results were virtually identical as Greenville would win two of the first three
sets (33-31, 23-30, 
30-27) before falling in the final two frames by scores of
27-30 and 10-15. 
Unlike the first meeting in which Greenville hit .294 as a team, Thursday they were able to only hit .151 with 53 kills and a season-high 27 errors - 13 more than the first meeting with LCC. Michea McKay led the team with 18 kills and Julie Kaufmann added 11 kills and a team-high 13 digs. As was the case in the previous losses this year, Greenville struggled with their serve receive finishing the match with 12 serve receive errors. Megan Vandiver continued to play well in the middle totaling 9 kills and 5 block assists in the match. Heidi Woods and Kelly Kepley had 7 kills and 4 kills, respectively.
Greenville's record drops to 2-4 on the year. The Lady Panthers will be back in action on Wednesday, September 17th when they host MacMurray College. MacMurray is coming into the match 1-4 on the season.
