September 17 - The Greenville College Lady Panthers dominated from start to finish Wednesday night in their first conference contest - a home match versus MacMurray College.  Greenville jumped out to big leads in each of the three sets and was able to cruise to a 3-set victory 30-14, 30-12, and 30-20.  

Greenville dominated game one en route to the 30-14 win, and then put together one of their best sets of the season in game two.  The Lady Panthers tallied 17 kills and just 2 hitting errors on 37 attempts for a sizzling .405 hitting percentage.  The momentum carried over into the final frame as Greenville again had only 2 hitting errors and hit .361.  For the match, Greenville hit .343, and most importantly, had 0 serve receive errors on the night.

Michea McKay led the offensive attack with 13 kills on 29 attempts (.414 %).  Megan Vandiver totaled 9 kills and 5 block assists and Kelly Kepley and Heidi Woods each added 8 kills.  The Lady Panthers finished with 4 attackers hitting over .300.

"The girls played with a real killer instinct tonight," commented coach Tom Ackerman.  "They never gave MacMurray any room to breathe. I have never seen them so focused on every point as they were tonight."  The win boosted G.C.'s record to 3-4 (1-0 in conference).  Greenville will host the undefeated Webster University Gorloks on Saturday at 1 p.m. at H.J. Long Gymnasium.
