1995, Febuary
High school classmates, Okuda and Matsui, scout
out singer Kawase at "Live House", forming the group in Kyoto.
1997, Spring
At leader Okuda's home studio, he records a demo
tape seperate from the new member. After the perfected demo tape had begun
to attract intrest from industry types, they signed to SME.
1997, July
Recorded for theatrical group Caramel Box's summer
performance, "waiting out the tempest" the ending theme song. 1st single
"GREEN WOOD DIARY" began recording.
1997, August
Vocalist Kawase Tomoko (rookinguon shrine) was
selected as a model for Italian fashion magazine Fiorucci.
Meanwhile they proceded to record their debut
sampler.
1997, September 21
Self produced with 4 English songs, Debut Maxi
Single "Bye Bye Mr. Mug" released
Received heavy rotation on Fukuaka Cross FM Pinebeach
K-Mix October Power Play and FM Toyama October Power Play.
Meikoya ZIP FM Chart at 13 (Japanese music 1st
rank) and rising. Received a large amount of O.A on Inta FM.
1997, October
Kawase Tomoko is selected to be regular VJ for
MTV's new program "BREAK DOWN"
1997, November
Kawase Tomoko starts as regular VJ on popular
TVH music program "Maru On Tracks".
1997, December 1
2nd Maxi Single "goodbye and good luck" released,
Chosen as a selection in December for Tokyo FM, J-Wave 76 Chart, Zip FM
30 Chart
1998, May 13
3rd Single, Japanese song "There will be love
there ~ ai no aru basho" released.
1998, August 26
4th Single "Tsumetai hana" released.
1998, September 19
1st Album "the brilliant green" released.
1999, March 9
First home video "the brilliant green clips"
released.
