A working model was made from wood to determine the useability of the proposed design. When the user presses the side buttons, Smalltalk springs open. To close, the user pushes the bottom of the phone into his palm. Smalltalk opens to almost three times its closed size, allowing a pocket sized phone to feel like a standard size headset.
