Betan Spirit alive in Melbourne

The Melbourne chapter of the Beta Sigma Fraternity of the Philippines was organised last 17 July 1999, when eight alumni brods met at the Philippine Australian Multi-purpose Centre in Footscray.

After a couple of informal meetings, the alumni brods decided that it was time to have a regular structure which is suitable to their objective of promoting camaraderie among brods.  Rolly Zubiri was elected as the Grand Princep and Mario del Carmen was voted as the Guardian of the Coffers. The body later appointed Nanding dela Cruz as the interim Grand Princep as Zubiri will be away for sometime to attend to some personal engagements.  Joey Mendoza will be the group adviser.

Others who attended the organisational meeting were Edison Lapitan, Alex Roseus, Mike Modesto, and Gil Guiling.
