Week 1

Edited pictures are on the right.

This is a close-up shot of a small stream behind our house as the several feet of snow we received this winter began its melt.

I could have used the macro shot instead of the regular lens, but I don't know how to focus on the water instead of the branches.

This is the piano in the living room of my house (I wish). Actually, it's a piano designed by Alma-Tadema on exhibit at the Clark Institute.

Obviously, this needs to be cropped and probably rotated a couple degrees counter-clockwise, but I think the rules preclude post-processing.

Aside from that, I had a lot and I mean a lot of trouble with reflection from the flash. Most of the photos I took at the Clark were unusable become of that.

This is a Rodin sculpture of Guiseppe Verdi, also on exhibit at the Clark.

In this one, I like the way the light reflected off the bust, and again I would have cropped this one.
