I recently installed a bunch of fonts in my system font folder. All of them are easily accessible in Quark 4.0, but in Frame 5.5.6, I can't get to a number of them (e.g., ITC Franklin Gothic and Minion Regular SC.) via my paragraph designer. (They *do* appear in my pulldown format/fonts menu, however. ?!?!?)
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem using ATM Deluxe but I never time to research it. However,
I succeeded in changing fonts in the ¶ designer by selecting from the
pull-down menu. The fonts showed up then in the usual manner. You could give
it a try.
As long as we're talking about fonts, is there a limit to how many fonts you
can use with 8.6? I remember reading something about that somewhere and printing
from Pagemaker has gotten very slow and I'm thinking maybe that's it.
Don't know if 8.6 is radically different from 8.5 (which I'm using), but I
believe it's 128 fonts in the system folder, max.
A font management utility, e.g., ATM, might be useful.
