A colleague who uses a PC is having problems with Windows 2000 when he goes
to open 'Help' it crashes. Any known conflicts or patches for this problem.
Yes: the known conflict is between Windows (any version) and Intel or AMD processors. <g> That's not much help, but it sure is amusing to us Mac folk. I think you'd need to provide considerably more details (e.g., the nature of the crash, the error message you receive, etc.). However:
He is also running Windows 98 as his OS, are there possible problem or conflicts there.
Do you mean he's running _Word_ 2000, or _Windows_ 2000? If the latter, then the problem is simple: unless he's configured his computer carefully so it can dual-boot (with either of the two operating systems), the potential for disaster is enormous. If it's Word 2000, the problem might be very simple: a conflict between the Windows 98 (WinHelp or HTML Help) help system and the file type, or the fact that Word 2000, like every Microsoft product, was rushed out the door before it was ready.
