Word Template Problem
Val Russell:
Can anyone help with this problem? It might be really straightforward.

As usual, I started with a journal article that had already been styled in Word 5.1 and saved it in Word 98.

I then started working on it, updating the headers, editing the text etc. I deleted a couple of figures, which were embedded. I noticed that some section breaks had been inserted (which specified 'odd' or 'even') so deleted those - then noticed that all the 'odd' pages had lost their layout marks and headers.

Skimmimg back to the beginning of the document I also realised that the first 3 pages had all lost thir information.

Unfortunately I don't know how the layout marks (vertical and horizontal lines in the corners for the printer) and the set of fields that the headers and footers are placed in are generated, so I'm finding it difficult to get them back.

Any suggestions?

Helen Garfinkle:
Try putting the section breaks back where they were. This has worked for me.
