Geauga YMCA Adventure Circles


Our Pioneers represent a variety of characters that thrived during America's forming period. Many are Westerners by nature, while others are based on particular individuals or occupations.

Each of the Circles adopts a persona that may be either lighthearted, studied or in-between. The key is to meet the needs of your group, varying by interests and age of participants. While we adopt the persona of individual characters or occupations, we do not imitate any particular culture. Imitating a culture potentially could prove offensive to some members of the culture.

All Circles meet and share their experiences at our Expedition events, including Roundups, events, and of course, campfires.

Each Circle establishes its own structure, as appropriate. Typically the Circle is led by a Mayor. Following is a list of Circle (or community) names, along with naming ideas for individuals.
