The Applied Mechanics
department offers facility for the testing of all sorts of building
materials such as cement, concrete, steel, tiles etc. Consultancy services
and technical guidance for structural design are also offered for
various departments like Public Works Department (PWD); MHADA,CIDCO,Maharashtra
Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP);Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) ; Irrigation
Department ;various Municipal councils and private companies.
The department conducts the part
-time , post -graduate course in Civil Structure leadingg to the degree
of M.E. (Civil Structure). It was started in the year 1988 with an
intake capacity of 10 students.
