Placement Activities
Invitations are sent to the prospective companies / organizations  along with all relevant information to participate in the campus recruitment. Regular correspondence is maintained with various industries. Personal visits by the Training and Placement Officer, to many companies also serves to build and maintain relations with the companies.

The  cell maintains a  branch -wise list of industries and encourages students to approach the companies independently in case that particular company does not have a policy of Campus Recruitment.

The cell maintains a  branch-wise record of all current appearing students in the Final Year through the collection of their resumes. Based on the requirements prescribed by the company, the eligible candidates are invited for  appearing for the test/interviews that are conducted by the visiting companies.

The T & P also maintains a list of past students and passes this list to companies who specifically come for pass-out students.

Other activities include:

Periodic Conduction of IQ tests
a
Arrangement of Personality Development Workshops
a
Trains students in aptitude tests, interview techniques, group discussions
a
Notification regarding various competitive examinations
a

The T & P cell looks after all arrangements to be made for the purpose of  conducting campus interviews including everything from, the Pre-Placement Talk, to the written tests, to the final interviews.

The  Training and Placement Cell  firmly believes in taking feedback from the companies that have visited since the feedback from the company serves as a yardstick regarding the performance of the students. This helps the  Training and Placement Cell in concentrating on various areas for improvement in the students. We believe that our students are like 'uncut diamonds' who need to be  guided in the right direction to acquire their luster.

Placement Rules
Students who are eligible according to a company's  criteria will be allowed to sit for their written test or appear for  their interviews. Once a student is selected in a company, he/she cannot appear for the test/interview of the next company even if he/she rejects the previous job offer.
a
Code of Conduct for Students
All students attending interviews are requested to keep in mind the following points without fail :

(a) Report at the placement center 15 minutes before the interview starts.

(b) Keep an updated copy  of your resume with you.

(c) Keep sufficient number of your documents/certificates/photographs (with spare copies) ready and arranged in order.

(d) Unless specifically asked to report later, students waiting for their turn should wait patiently at the placement centre and not loiter about. You alone will be responsible if you miss your interview.

(e) Present yourself in neat and pressed formal dress  and polished formal shoes. Nails ought to be trimmed.

If a candidate who has forwarded his resume for a particular company  decides not to appear for the test/interview, he/she should inform the placement center as soon as possible. This will not only enable the placement center to give an accurate estimate to the company of the number of people appearing, it will also help other students who would otherwise miss out on a good chance.
