Demytri
Demytri was my first snake, ever. My cousin gave him to me along with a ten gallown aqaurium, heat pad, lid, bowl, hide-box and a crash course in snake keeping. My cousin also had two Red-Tail Boa constrictors in a closet sized caging setup with controled heating and everything, he even breeds his own rats. Along with his "collection" he had 4 tarantulas, and an Emperor Scorpion, he was planning on breeding the two boas; but the female died recently. I was of course excited about getting my very first snake, and I was quite surprised that my dad (who is deathly afraid of snakes) drove 4 hours out of the way to central South Dakota to pick him up. Well, after 2 day's of driving, Demytri was in his new home, and eating like a pig. When I first got him, he had no name, so this time I got to name him. I named him Demytri, just because I like the name, actually, my brother was going to name his son Dematry, but his child turned out to be a girl, so I stole the name. About 3 months after getting Demytri, I got him a new 20 gallon aquarium, and I had an empty ten left over, I ended up putting Vlad in there. And after Vlad died, I got Bud, and I moved Bud in the 20 and put Demytri back in the ten. Then, sometime later, I got a 35 gallon aqaurium, and moved Bud in that, Demytri BACK in his 20 and I had a 10 left over. I ended up putting Gokou in that. And that's where the story ends, for now. I want to build a cage for Bud and move Demytri into the 25, my gecko in the twenty, and raise leopard gecko babies in the ten. I think that about cover's it, but who knows when the herping bug will bite again and I will get something else.
