Its a little known fact that the Pilgrim Fathers first set out from Boston, Lincolnshire - I kid yee not. For this reason, a memorial at the site was erected back in the 1950s on the banks of The Haven. Significant picnic facilities are avaliable, some six tables or benches I believe. Plus there's a nice pond and the lovely river itself. Well worth a visit.

The memorial is indeed in the middle of nowhere and is only accessible by a narrow twisting fen road that clings to the side of the flood banking. I'm sure its a stop on the itenary of every American tourist coming to England!

A bit further a long the river is another area to stop. There is a particularly extensive car park (in relative terms) which wasn't actually empty when we got there. No there was some strange bloke in his car who proceeded to drive off as soon as we'd parked. The jury is out as to whether the big pile in at the top right corner of the car park was manure or not. Though to be fair it probably wasn't. By the way the A Team Van was broken down on the day of the trip so we had to go in that thing instead.
