Marisabel Bonet is a graduate from Hunter College in New York with an MFA in creative writing. She also graduated from The University of Central Florida with a BA in creative writing. She currently lives in Puerto Rico, where she is studying biology at the University of Puerto Rico's Mayagüez campus, working, of all things, on a doctorate in medicine.

Bonet was born in Puerto Rico, where she spent her childhood and where she grew up with an immense love for the island's culture, heritage, and history. She's been writing since she could use a pencil, creating stories and characters. As an undergraduate, she was an avid contributor to Team Bonet, a group of writers through the internet. As she finished her degree, she formed a dream that she would one day publish a novel based on historical past of the Caribbean, hoping that with her work she would bring her homeland alive in fiction.

Bonet enjoys vanilla bean cheesecakes, caramel coffee, and Coca Cola. She loves to travel, to sing, and to listen to music. As a reader, she enjoys the work of Karen Hesse, poetry dealing with war, and the triumph of the spirit. She enjoys drama and historical films. Above all, she enjoys talking about writing and sharing time with writers. You may reach her at: led_zeppelin@gawab.com.
