Helheim - Yersinia Pestis 2003 (Nor)
Rating: 80
This record includes alot of different styles, from old-school black metal, heavy metal, more technical stuff and some programming/synth. It's actually quite good, even though it lacks some to be "way up there". The lyrics are in both Norwegian and English, which is OK. One of my favorite tracks is, Elde, which starts with an typical heavy metal riff but it got a great hypnotic middle part with a synth that makes a good atmosphere. It also includes a cool black metal which actualy reminds me some of Burzum in a way. Don't Ask me why... All in all I quess this record is recomendable for fans of melodical black metal (luckly not in the way as melodical black metal founded in "EDT" by Dimmu Borgir) with a lot of elements of black/thrash riff and some progressive parts.

The first Helloween five track mLP! I have always prefered old Helloween even though the
"style" is almost the same today, but old Helloween - with Kai Hansen is the best. Its more
raw and simpler than new Helloween and its awesome. Its fast, melodious speed metal and it's
got the voice of Kai, it seems like alot of Helloween/Gamma Ray fans doesn't like his voice
but I think he's got great voice which suites the music. The lyrics are, like the music very
simple and straight-forward but its ok. Check out killer tracks like Warrior and Victim Of Fate. In my view Helloween's Three first records and this mLP is their best. After Kai Hansen left Helloween, they lost a key member and it never was the same again. But check out the early Helloween works and Gamma Ray's most recent released if you like fast, melodious metal the original way.

Helloween - Walls Of Jericho 1986 (Ger)

Their classic debut LP! Starts with a blast, Ride The Sky, which is regarded as one of
Helloweens most classic tunes. Fast, with killer guitar solos and sing-a-long chorus it sets
the standard of European Power Metal. On of my favorite tracks Guardians, got everything i've just stated, twin solos and everything. If you like power metal, you like this record. The
production is better than the mLP and that goes to the music aswell. Classics like Gorgar,
Metal Invaders and Heavy Metal (Is The Law) - you've got to have this one! If I remember right
you can buy this as a CD with the mLP and the Judas (Originaly released as a 12") tune so if
you don't care for records this is highly recomendable.
