The Lord often used to go and walk among people as an ordinary man. People were meeting him but did not it was him Once he was passing by a village when he saw a young girl washing wool. She seemed somehow angry and God asked her:
‘What are you washing, my child?’
She answered in her anger:
‘I wash snakes and lizards!’
‘Let you never get rid of snakes and lizards!’ God answered.
Immediately her face became ugly as it was a nest of snakes and lizards
God went further down the river and he saw another girl washing wool.
‘What are you washing, my child?’
‘I wash, old man, gold and silver!’ She answered
‘Let you never get rid of gold and silver! Let everything in you be of gold and silver!’ God answered.
And it did.
