Garry Gelfgat, born on 26 July 1932.
Professor, pianist.

Ended Kharkov Art Institute in 1954 and Intership at Gnesin's Musical Education Institute in Moscow (1964-66).
Career includes: pedagogue at Kharkov Philarmony (1956-1993), Assistant (1958-1964), Senior teacher (1964-1972), Assosiate professor (1972-1993) at Kharkov Art Institute; Professor at Kharkov Pedagogical University (1994-1997).

-Ukrainian Branch of European Association of Piano Pedagogues (since 1994);
-Ukrainian Musical Union (since 1995).

In 1994 was performed in Seattle (USA).
Conducted more than 20 seminars in different countries regarding methodology of piano education and improvisation and also master-classes (Ukraine, Russia, Usa), lectures at the local and international methodical conferences.
At several times participated in jury at national and international piano competitions in Ukraine and Russia.
Thera are about 20 laureates of piano competitions among Garry Gelfgat's students. Among thous: Natalija Solotich, Eugene Morosov, Alexander Romanovsky, Katerina Titova,
Andriy Tsygichko.
