The Botetourt Genealogical Club shall promote genealogy and educational work of a professional nature, shall locate, preserve and index public and private genealogical records, and make such records avaliable to members and the general public, shall encourage and instruct members in genealogical research through careful doccumentation, and shall maintain quality genealogical standards.
