"This is the Revolutionary War Record of George DeLong, Sr. We know this is our George DeLong, as I have records of his paying taxes in Fannett Township, Cumberland County, Pa. For the years—1780, 81, 82.  (This Fannett Township is today in Franklin Co., Pa.) (Or in other words, In 1784 a new Co. was formed in Pa. and called Franklin co. & it was taken from Cumberland Co.)
Some time between 1782 & 1790 George DeLong moved to (present Centre Co., Pennsylvania) at that time it was called Mifflin Co.
He is listed in the United States census of 1790 as living in Mifflin Co., with wife & 10 children. In 1791, same Co. paid taxes.
Settled in York Twp. Belmont County, Ohio in May, of 1802."
