WILLIAM REEVES, Sr.

and

RACHEL SULLIVAN

"WILLIAM REEVES was born about the year 1686 and died about 1748. He married, about 1702, Rachel Sullivan, daughter of Thurlough and Katherine Sullivan, of Evesham Township, Burlington County, formerly of New Castle County, Delaware, and before that of Maryland. Rachel Sullivan was born 1688.

We find that on January 26, 1705, Thomas Wakefield, second husband of Katherine Sullivan, gave bond to Abraham Hewlings and William Hackney to secure the payment of £10 to Thulas Sullivan when twenty-one, and £20 to Rachel Reeves and Mary Sullivan at eighteen years.  So Rachel Sullivan was not yet eighteen years old, and was married before 1705.  She survived her husband and as a widow married by license dated September 19, 1750, Matthias Brook."
