After much anticipation, Daniel Anthony Eisan arrived on October 9th, 2002 at 7:40pm. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience the calm and serene hypnobirthing I planned on. But after 24 hours of intense back labor, arriving via VBAC I delivered a beautiful baby boy! I would be remiss if I did not say thank you to a new friend and invaluable partner in my pregnancy and labor and delivery. Kathy O'Brien was our Doula and I never would have had a successful VBAC if it weren't for her. Thank you Kathy! Finally after 4 days in the hospital, we were sent home. Daniel still had an IV in his hand due to an infection he had gotten during delivery. His first ten days of life he was on antibiotics. After the IV fell out, he received four shots a day from a home healthcare nurse. As usual, I think it was much harder on mommy than on him!

Austin is such a good big brother. He loves Daniel and really is quite a help to me!

I had to include this picture. This is Daniel's typical expression!
