We now learn that the single looks like it'll be out on the 25th and the album is set for an early April release. Plus, the album title is no longer 'Pachinko' but rather the more boring (and slightly obituorial?) 'the Bluetones - singles 1995 - 2002'. Tracklisting includes all the singles (we won't insult your intelligence by detailing them all), FDP, After Hours, Persuasion, and something called 'Bluetones Big Score'... and according to NME.com you get a free B-sides CD... which is nice! (However more worrying than ever in a splitty-up type way... MysDik's been through it all before with Boyzone ; )) Oooh and on the official site there're piccies from After Hours shoot... looking rawther interesting. Sorta gangstery which we always like... we've given you one here but you shld really go to the proper site for the rest!

Word (FINALLY) on the official site as to the new single! Apparently Les Tones have taken everyone by surprise & decided to release 'After Hours' instead of FDP. Just to be confusing. B-sides (and there are many) are 'Sail on (saaaaaaail on) sailor' (yay!), Groovy Roussos, Reverse Cowgirl, A Woman In Love, Ingimarsson (spread out over 2 CDs and a 7" so we will all be BROKE here @ General Ed, oh, 'cept Ed who has a job! Tis released on the 18th now btw (oh we just knew it'd be put back)... and the album (Greatest Hits as eggspected) is out on the 25th and is called 'Pachinko - the Best of the Bluetones'. And apparently they did the video for AH (lol @ the acronym, that's the best one we've seen since Ronan Keating did LIAR...) with Edgar Wright who directs Spaced (tsch if you don't know, groovy C4 series which had the Bluetones in one episode! OK more info as it appears... (we hope & pray for more regular updates)... and sorry about not having new Hot or Nots for ages, Myssy D has been much busy but will do them ASAP. Sorry... we know we're slack. Ooh & did anyone see Eds on TOTP2? He rocks! (But of course you knew that already.)

OK so last nite on Radio 1 (Evening Session) Steve Lamacq played Freeze Dried Pop! Yay! So first time everyone had heard the proper recorded version which is all *most* exciting... anywho he also said that FDP will be out as a single on March 11th so set your calendars/alarm clocks/mobiles/personal organisers to go and buy it on that day! If you're v powerful you could even tell your secretary (or your mum...). Mind you it will probably be put back at least a week but it's nice to know the general area... Steve (what to call him!) said the new Tones tour dates will be announced on Monday's Evening Session (that's the 17th) so listen out between 8 and 10! 97-99 FM just in case ya didn't know. Final stuff is that it's definitely a singles/greatest hits album (booo) but will have FOUR new tracks on it which are presumabubbly FDP, After Hours, Persuasion, and...??? we know not.
Also @ the Shepherd's Bush gig Markybaby said that FDP cld be released as a double A with Persuasion but he mighta just said that...!
