General Intelligence :

G0 — design philosophy

The mission of G0 is to:

  1. Be a complete architecture for general intelligence
  2. Make the architecture modular
  3. Let different people work on individual modules independently — "outsourcing"

I think the crux of the problem is having researchers agree on a common architecture and knowledge representation scheme. I have proposed such an architecture and explained with some examples how it could achieve general intelligence.

In order to agree on a common framework, there must be extensive exchange of ideas between experts in various domains (such as: pattern recognition, inference, learning, etc). One reason I put up this web site is to foster discussion of the architecture and its details. I am open to suggestions for improving it. None of the design features are fixed.

Additional guiding principles:

  1. Improve on modules incrementally
  2. Accumulate machine-acquired knowledge; plan ahead and don't throw away knowledge while building newer modules
  3. Only try to solve bottleneck / critical problems of general intelligence; leave the details and optimization for later.

I am looking for people interested in building these modules. Again there are no fixed qualifications for these tasks. The candidate can be:

  1. A researcher with state-of-the-art expertise in the domain
  2. A student/researcher with basic understanding of the domain
  3. A company interested in a commercial joint venture
  4. An amateur/developer interested in AI projects

Hope you'll like this project.
