TITLE: OSUN FESTIVAL

Osun festival is a popular festival in Osogbo capital of Osun State.

Osogbo is in the western part of Nigeria.

Osun Osogbo is a goddess of the river and she is known for taking care of the sick.



This work demonstrate the integrity in been a warrior in a village.

The carving works shows the honor people give to the mighty people in  a community.

TITLE: OSUN FESTIVAL 
Osun is a river goddess that is worshiped by her followers in Osogbo, the capital city of Osun state. They perform all their rites along river Osun. This carving demonstrate how some of the worshipers of Osun proceed to the shrine where they will worship and do all necessary sacrificial rites.


This painting shows a woman who lost her husband.

The deceased husband left four Children for the poor woman and she is struggling to make both ends meet so that she can take care of these children.

  Virgin:- The carved work demonstrates the pride in the Virginity of a lady.

Africans takes virginity as very important.

They believe in keeping virginity till their wedding day as a sign of honor and glory to the lady herself and to her family at large.



 Sango is believed to be the god of thunder in Yoruba land. The Yorubas so much believe in this god to the extend that if there is an incident of stealing, the spirit of this god is invoked to strike the perpetrator of the act by thunder.

This carving is yet another work that shows Sango, Yoruba god of thunder.


This wardrobe is a collapsible type. It is decorated all round by various type of African cultural carvings.
