A little about Genie:

 

Who knew when my mom named me Genie it would be such a perfect name for me. Ever since I was young I have been steered to this place and time in my life. I have always loved all things sci-fi. When I was young my favorite stuffed animal was endowed with physic powers, but at the age of 4 I didn't know that is what it was called. I wont even tell you what my invisible friend was capable of doing;-) My interests are varied between sci-fi, crafts and science. I would guess that somewhere along the line I have been abducted by aliens but, my mind block has stayed intact! HaHa! I am, however, part of the SETI at home project.

I have just finished the sickest book I have ever read! "The Boy Who Kicked Pigs" by Tom Baker (AKA the 4th Dr. Who) was every bit as disturbing as the movie "The Good Son" but, in a grosser kind of way. Being a mother of a son I was quite disturbed,for several days, after seeing that movie and watching the mom have to choose between her son and the other boy. Well, this book very similar to that movie. Even to something going over the bridge causing a disaster on the road below but, grosser. Although this 6" x 4" has 124 pages, there is a picture on every other page which makes for a quick read. The pen and ink illustrations capture the grotesqueness of the story perfectly and were done by David Roberts. If your a fan of Tom Baker you must add this book to your collection but I would suggest not reading it, ever!
