Bicentennial
Man
I had never
gotten too the theater to see this movie so I was delight when it
came out in video.
As "The Cage"
was said to be to cerebral I feel that "Bicentennial Man" also falls
into that category. For the casual sci-fi viewer I'm sure there was
not enough other worldly conflicts and aliens in it to suit
them.
I was haunted
by this story of, what I feel, is probably the most accurate
portrayal of the future as there has ever been. I even lost sleep
that night. Robin Williams' character toughed me to my very core. He
touched me on so many levels; wife, mother, lover, human that I still
get squemish thinking about this movie.
I don't know
if financially this movie was a success but, I laughed, I cried and
most of all I thought about it and I'm still thinking about it. This
movie was a success as far as I'm concerned. So, I challange you go
and rent it and then let me know what you think.
