The
Grinch

Jim Carrey is
definitely talented but, I find I don't always like all his movies. I
loved "The Mask." Refused to go see "Dumb & Dumber", hated "Ace
Ventura: Pet Detective", loved "The Truman Show", refused to see "The
Cable Guy" and thought "Batman Forever" was good. I think my problem
with Carrey is, I really don't like slapstick, never have, and he can
get to be too much.
So, armed
with that information about me, here is my review of "The
Grinch."
1 fish, 2
fish red fish blue fish... This story is not, like the children's
book. This version is really too deep to be a kids story. Although
the costuming and make up were so wonderful the kids thought they
were looking at the book!
At 6'2"
Carrey makes a very tall very green Who, named the Grinch. This movie
starts when little Grinchie is delivered by the stork, how he was
tormented in school and finally how he ran away to the mountain to
when his hand made Christmas present was laughed at by the other
kids.
Although the
book by Dr. Seuss is a children's book, I think this movie is a bit
to dark for young children.
