Details of Procedure:-
In a normal adult about 1/3 or more of the errectile penis is buried under the skin of the pubic fat.
The surgery is to free this part of the errectile tissue and adjust skin on it to give a more visible length. Since this extra available errectile tissue is now outside so on erection further elongation is achieved. Average about 1-2 inches of non erect elongation is achieved.
Case selection-
Who is fit for surgery
Any normal healthy male who has otherwise normal errectile sexual capability But who is unhappy with the length of his penis is a fit candidate for penile elongation.
Who is unfit for surgery
As such there is very little as Unfit for surgery however if person is already suffering from other medical illness regarding heart/liver/kidney etc. then it is advised to get that treated first.
Risks-
There are no particular risks pertaining to this procedure. The errectile function is maintained as before.
Preoperative instructions-
Pre operative check up, shave, treat any skin disease locally.
What to expect in the hospital
Admission to single air-conditioned room, healthy diet, adequate nursing and medical care.
Recovery
One is awake at the end of the surgery. There may be some degree of swelling due to surgery. This will get absorbed in 7-10 days. There may be some discomfort at the operation site for first day or two depending on the person's own pain sensitivity. The surgeon will regularly daily himself visit you. Sutures will come out in a weeks time.
Post operative
There will be dressing, stitches will have to be removed after a week.
Do's and Don'ts
Leave the dressing alone. Keep it clean and dry. For the initial 10 days avoid passionate thoughts so that there is no violent erection. For three weeks avoid having sex, let it heal well first. Avoid/stop smoking.
In patients who are from outstation or who can not stay back. The surgery can be performed under Local anaesthetic and the dissolvable suturesd put in.
The patient can then almost walk out after surgery and take care himself for a week for the body to heal.
Expected result
In three weeks the suture line and the inside buried sutures would have healed firmly. the person can then enjoy a normal sex life with elongated penis (elongation of about 1-2 inches or so in resting position.).
