Five - Melting as We Move Through Time

Woke up around seven. Still not too sure how I got into the house. But I got up out of bed, somehow found the bathroom. I started to take a piss but then realized that I was peeing in the tub. Stood there staring at the soap lying on the bottom near the drain, slowly melting from the heat of the piss. Felt a pushing pain on my lower stomach, and continued to pee.

Found the sink, took a drink of water and stared at the water running. There was a puddle of water in the soap dish, turning the soap into a thick paste.

Melting as we move through time.

The intoxicating smell of air freshener quickly fills the bathroom and I can’t help but look around for the source. A small plug-in sits in the outlet just a few inches off the floor, directly across from the toilet. I can feel a headache as it continues to spit out the annoying smell of flowers as it coats the inside of my mouth. Thick, annoying and pissing me off. I pull it out of the wall, and shove it into my nose; smelling the fragrance even more before dropping it into the toilet. I flush, but it won’t go down. Four flushes later, it continues to float. I lose interest.

I check out the medicine cabinet. Four rows of pills, creams, lotions, and other items stand neatly in their place, waiting to be plucked. I take one pill from every bottle and drink it down with half a bottle of cough syrup.

I stand staring at myself in the mirror, naked. My eyes seems faded, gray almost.

I’m not here; rather I don’t want to be here; I don’t feel like I’m here; my mind is elsewhere.

I turn off the lights and head back into the bedroom. Crawl under the sheets and dream; Melting as we move through time.

Paste.
