You have arrived at the official site for the Gentleman Adventurers’ Society, a long-running RPG club out of the dark and dreary Rochester, NY. The club has been active for nearly two decades in some way, shape, or form and the current incarnation has been around for seven years. The Gentleman Adventurers Society has many members, both current and former, in and around the Rochester area. However, the core of the group is the founders.
The Gentleman Adventurers’ Society has devoted itself to the continuing goal of enhancing the all-around experience of Role-Playing Games. We seek to explore and understand all aspects of gaming society and expand the boundaries that have been set by both our fellow gamers and society as a whole. We do not see RPG gaming as an institution that should be hidden from the eyes of the world in general. Instead we seek to bring an understanding to society; both of what gamers do, and what we accomplish by this.
We do not seek to turn everyone on the planet into active RPG gamers. We do, nonetheless, hope to one day augment the view of gamers in the eyes of society. By viewing this page, you are doing one of two things: you are, if already a gamer, showing your support of our all too fragile community; or, if you do not consider yourself an active gamer, you are expanding your horizons into the unknown. I deem any non-gamers whom view this page as brave indeed. The world of the RPG gaming community can, on occasion, be somewhat frightening. Be well, brave soul, we will try to make your journey as calm as possible.
You may, as you peruse, notice that much of this site seems devoted to oddity. The reasons for this is that the founders are, at best, social misfits, at worst, clinically insane. If this causes the bile of fear to ascend your spine and freeze your limbs, then feel free… leave.

For the novice gamer and the wholly uninitiated, all this may seem like a bit much to take in. Assuage your worries. We will guide you with the best of our ability. For those who have never played a RPG before, What is Role-Playing? by Jester would be the best place to start. Then you may wish to peruse the Choice Games in order to get a better idea of the tales we of the Gentleman Adventurers’ Society like to portray. Next, a glance at Characters will give you an idea as to the heroes and villains that populate the worlds in which our stories take place. Following that, a perusal of our Timelines may be in order to familiarize you with what sort of fables have come from these worlds and characters. Lastly, you may note that we have meticulously scrutinized the web for the finest quality RPG Links. These too, are there for your further enjoyment and education. You may want to check out The Ultimate Gamer's Resource. Together, the three currently active founders alone have nearly half a century of role-playing experience. At the 'Resource we share some of that knowledge with players and gamemasters alike. Of course, we do not believe that we are the be-all, end-all of Role-Playing knowledge. Soon we will be opening the forum to Role-Players all over the globe. And for those fearless few who wish to be a part of a gaming revolution, we will soon be offering official membership in the Gentleman Adventurers' Society.
