Install and configure your computer for browsing Chinese language materials using IE5
There are many ways to browse Chinese materials on the Internet. The cheapest one is to use ie5 with Chinese support. It is free! Here is how:
Download ie 5 for win95, win98 and win NT.
Click the blue button on the upper left conner will start download. This will allow your English OS to view Chinese on your computer. Be patient, because the file size is large. The software supports all English window 95/98/NT.
2) Install the software. Make sure that the Chinese language support is turned on. Reboot you machine after installation
3) Browsing Chinese coded material by turn on the encoding. Point your browser to Chinese encoded web. Then select under View ->encoding->Chinese Simplified (GB2312). You will see the Chinese on your computer monitor!
