About Haruka
When the senshi first meet Haruka they mistake her for a boy. Minako and Usagi even go so far as to follow her around. Haruka teases them a lot, especially after they find out that she is really a girl. Haruka is unmistakably a tomboy. She loves driving around on her motorcycle or in her convertable. She prefers to wear the male school uniform.(Though one wonders how the school let her wear it.)
As Sailor Uranus, she is much more serious. She will do anything to accomplish her mission of finding the 3 talismans. She will even give up her life and Sailor Neptune's as well to get the talismans. But when the time comes to get the talismans, Haruka finds she cannot let Neptune die. When Neptune is captured, Uranus becomes very angry and would have killed Eugeal, had it not been for the arrows that shot at her when she tried to cross the bridge. In the end we find out that Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are the holder of the talismans. We also learn that the talismans did not require a sacrafice of the heart crystals.
In Sailor Moon Stars, Haruka and Michiru have been dating for some time. The two are attacked while on a balcony, but are saved for a short while by Sailor Pluto, who is holding a baby Hotaru in her arms. During the battle, Hotaru is awakened and gives the outer senshi the power to become super senshi. Later in the season, Uranus and Neptune join with Galaxia, after being offered the opportunity. This is merely a trick. Upon being commanded by Galaxia to kill Sailor Moon, the Starlights, and Sailor Chibi Chibi, both Uranus and Neptune awaken, breaking free of Galaxia's control. They try taking Galaxia's star seed, but fail and find that Galaxia has no star seed. They then are killed when Galaxia takes their bracelets back.
The Friction Between Haruka and Seiya
The first time Haruka meets Seiya, she finds him in Michiru's dressing room. Haruka instantly does not like him, probably becaus of the fact that he was in Michiru's dressing room.(Haruka seems very protective of her Michriu ^^) Seiya, like the rest of the world it seems, mistakes Haruka for a guy. He is quoted saying, "Odango-atama? Hey... You're with a good looking guy." Upon introducing themselves, Haruka, instead of shaking his hand, presses a fist into his hand. She tells him to get out and he leaves. Haruka then tells Michiru not to let Seiya into her dressing room again. Michiru teases her some and Usagi ends up appologizing for Seiya and follows him out.
Later in the season, Seiya becomes Usagi's "bodyguard" so to speak. Half way through the afternoon, all of the senshi show up, including Haruka and Michiru. Haruka throws a few insults at Seiya and the friction just gets worse. There is also a interesting scene about Haruka's sexual preference. I've included it below.
The Debate Over Haruka
Background: The inners, Usagi, the Three Lighs, Chibi Chibi, Michiru and Haruka are all in Usagi's living room talking. Haruka and Seiya have had a bit of a fight over the bodyguard thing. Rei asks Usagi about Haruka and Seiya.
Rei: ~Whispers to Usagi~ Hey Usagi, are they on bad terms?
Usagi: ~Whispers back~ Rather, I heard Haruka doesn't like men.
Chibi Chibi: ~Echos~ ...heard.
Yaten: ~Overhears~ That makes sense, doesn't it?
Haruka: Don't take it seriously.
Michiru: ~Pretends to whisper~ Haruka doesn't like popular men.
Usagi and the inners, in unison: That makes sense.
Haruka: ~Getting angry~ That doesn't make sense.
