CAUTION: NERVOUS DOG DRIVING New page created 18 April 2001 Thelma and Louise, mind your butts!! |
Welcome back, everyone!! It's springtime on the Cape, and even the best behaved of brown dogs hankers for the open road. Curly's been kind of tired lately, from starting the new job...so I've been finding ways of amusing myself. |

This is my pal, Molly. She lives in Truro, with her Moms, who are away on vacation. Our neighbor (and my good bud) Amy is staying with Molly...and recently, my fellow Brown Girl and I had a little adventure. Curly and Amy like to hang out and talk about gardens and stuff...and while they weren't looking, we boosted Ame's Hyundai for some four wheelin around town. Look out, tourists!! Before we could have fun, though, we had to tend to an errand or two, including a stop at Seaman's Cookie Bank drive-thru to check our account balances. After each getting a cookie in our tums, we were on the open road. It was a foggy morning when we started off, and we felt comfortable driving around town without being noticed. |
We went down to the Harbor, which was kind of spooky...but my goodness, I like the way the air smells down there...all shellfish and seaweed and other delightfully stinky stuff. But the fog burns off pretty quickly out here sometimes, so we made our way back through town and onto the back roads, where we could enjoy ourselves without the authorities hounding us. |

There was almost no traffic on the back roads out of town, and before long, we were happily tooling through the wilderness, the breeze through the open windows whistling in our ears. It didn't take long to find this place--yes, there ARE still a few places on Cape Cod when all you can see is sand, sun and water. |

There's nothing finer than some time in the sun, breathing in that fresh sea air, and enjoying some fresh brainstorming on future plans for World Conquest. |

Alas, as is too often the case here, it's never long before someone comes bounding along to ask eagerly for directions to Provincetown or the nearest fish fry...and so we loaded up the car again and hit the road once more... |
