"Cass, I've got a problem." Kon said as he near jumped down on the couch beside her. "Bart likes me."
"Oh." Cassie blinked, confused. "Oh," she repeated knowingly. "Man, I see. Well just tell him gently that you're not—"
"And I kinda like him too."
Cassie's mouth fell open. "You do? You know, I don't think you should be talking to me about this. I don't know if I can help you guys out."
Kon looked up at her. "You're my friend Cass, you just need to listen."
She nodded. "But, I so don't know what to say. It really doesn't sound like you have a problem. I mean, if he likes you and you like him then what's the problem?"
"That's the problem." Kon sighed. "I don't think he knows that he likes me?"
"What? That makes no sense."
"We're talking about Impulse remember?"
"That makes sense." Cassie sighed. Diana never told her they'd be days like this. Of course, Diana probably never had to give advice to the Flash and Superman. Cassie shivered, at least, she hoped Diana never did. "You know, I don't think I can help you. Why not Robin? He usually has an answer for everything."
Kon shook his head.
"Why not?" Cassie asked. Robin was the leader. Robin would have some answer.
"He'd complicate things."
"How do you know? Did you give him a chance?"
"Yeah," Kon snorted, "and we broke up."
"Now I know I'm out of my league here," Cassie said. She threw arms wide into the air and got up pacing in small circles.
"Cass, please calm down."
She caught Kon's look of pleading and reluctantly sighed and sat back down. She rubbed her hands through her hair. "You like him," she stated and Kon nodded. "And he likes you," she continued. "He won't make the first move, so why don't you?"
Kon smiled, the simplicity of the idea seeming fresh and innovative and "Perfect! You're brilliant. I love you!" He leaned to hug her and kiss her on the cheek before he flew off.
Cassie looked around at the now deserted room. She looked at the window Kon had just flew out of. "I wish you did, Kon." She sighed into the silence.
