it's... quiet. it's a bit cliche, and the writing is more tell than show, but i like the ideas the author has behind it. sorata tells the old stargazer what he wants his perfect woman to be like, especially when he will die for her. personally, i think he deserves to be picky. and of course arashi fulfills all his traits. but the line i really adore-- that made the fic work for me is this one: The last came out as a whisper. "She should love me." that line just hit my romance spot completely. it's a short, little ficlet that just made me smile.

beautiful. it's the first sxs story that i've read all the way through, and y'know, i think it's spoiled all other stories for me. it's snapshotish, going from before tb timeline up to seishirou's death. the tense, speaker, pov seems to change with every part, but it all melds together beautifully. the imagery is astonding and subtle, letting the reader draw their own conclusions from the information put forth. the characterization, imho, is spot on and it's just a dazzling work that captivated me with its style.
