This survey aims to reveal the attitude towards and the knowledge of motorcycle safety by the following categories:

• Motorcycle drivers riding on roads of Georgia;
• Those that may ride on roads of Georgia in the future;
• Drivers of other kinds of transportation using roads of Georgia, as well as pedestrians: as they share roads with motorcyclists, understanding each other's safety is important to the safety of all of them.

We will publish correct answers to the questions on this survey on November 1st, 2001.

Please also remember, that although experience is very important for motorcycle safety, it can not replace knowledge gained on safety courses. The courses are prepared based on the data by the motorcycle manufacturers, their engineers and designers, road accident statistics and interviews with survivors, research results, standards and collective experience of multiple decades – much more than a single motorcyclist can have.

It is by no means the goal of the questions in this survey to teach motorcycle safety or insinuate correct answers and/or behavior. On the contrary, many answers that may seem correct to a rider without proper training, can in fact be wrong. Thus, using the information implied from this survey in the streets is extremely dangerous. We strongly advise every participant of this survey not to use this information in the streets without additional qualified consultation. We also warn participants, that there are many other kinds of danger not mentioned in this survey, when riding a motorcycle.
