The Da Vinci Code(From Page 1) claims of Brown. That Jesus was married at all, is without distinction in the Books of the New Testament. And, that he fathered children, is also of no merit from the biblical record. Space does not permit us to critique the extra-biblical sources of Brown, so we’ll limit our article to the point of Jesus’ supposed marriage. Did Jesus desire to be married? Was it God’s will for him to be married? A deeper study of the Bible: of God’s original purpose, the prophecies of the victorious Messiah, Jesus’ own words, and the Book of Revelation’s view of the Second Coming, all point to this never understood fact that the Messiah is to be married in order to complete the ideal of God.
God’s original purpose states: “Be fruitful, multiply,…. It is not good for the man to be alone.” And, “When a man shall leave his father and mother, he shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.” (Gen.1:18, 28; 2:24; Mt.19:5). Psalms 45 depicts the scene of the Marriage of “the anointed” King (the Messiah King) who “stands with his royal bride at his right hand.” (vs.7-9) Further, David shows us that the man blessed by God would establish his wife and a blessed home (Chapter 128). Isaiah prophesies that he would be called “the everlasting father.” (9:6) Jesus spoke in parables of his ‘prepared’ marriage (Mt.22:2; 9:15). This he did, because he knew clearly of his original purpose before God. Further, Revelation 19:7 points to the eventual realization of the Marriage of the Lamb (Messiah). Why was Jesus not married? In short, because he was ridiculed by his family members, accused and rejected by Israel (Mk.3:21-22; Mt.12:48-50; et al). He had no foundation to settle.
Questions, Questions ???1. Is the "Lake of Fire" in Rev. 20 referring to Hell? 2. How can the unity of the world's religions be realized? 3. Did God create angels to be higher than man in position? Wisdom For Our Time"Nothing comes into being for its own sake. A life for the sake of others, giving and sacrificing through love and perfecting the ownership of love through willing submission, is a life aligned with God’s ideal of creation.” Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Islam vs. Christianity(From Page 1) repentance, reconciliation, and cooperation toward a common goal of peace-building. The end result: inter-dependency, shared values and co-prosperity as one family under God. Had Jesus been accepted as the promised Messiah to Israel, he would have taught “the way of peace” to the Jews (Lk.19:42).
They, in turn, would have reached out and embraced their brothers, the Arabic nations. Peace would have come to Jerusalem, and the family of Abraham would have been reconciled (Gen,16:4a-12). With the rejection of Jesus and his subsequent crucifixion, the way to peace was blocked, therefore, for two millennia Israel could not settle peacefully (Mt.23:37-39; Lk.19:42-44). Today, almost 60 years after the re-established Jewish state, we continue to see major wars launched by surrounding Muslim nations against it. The great and imminent challenge now is: through whom, and by what means can true and lasting peace come to Israel and its neighbors? (Continued in Next Issue)
