An edited version of Rev. Moon’s speech given at the Common Legacy Summit, Congratulatory Banquet in Washington D.C., December 13, 2004.

Respected leaders from countries around the world, representing all religions and nations! Let us first gather our hearts together. Let us sincerely offer glory and gratitude to God,the True Parents of all creation and Lord of true love. Let us make today one of greatest value, one which will provide a new foundation for America.

The Cold War held humanity captive to fear and insecurity for half a century. Communist machinations and duplicity deceived people of faith and all humankind. That has ended. But, how secure and happy are we?

Young people, liberated from communism, instead of seeking God’s ideal, are in danger of running pellmell off the cliff of debauchery. The embrace a perspective of selfish individualism and become slaves to free sex. Homosexuals have hoisted the flag of the so called “gay” movement, advocating marriage between people of the same sex. This is barbaric and it infuriates heaven and humanity. Based on what they advocate, humanity would become extinct within two generations.

Another plague, divorce, is destroying families values. Who will compensates the many innocent children for the parental love snatched from them? The Middle East conflict is now grinding the entire world in a crucible of fear over terrorism and murder.

By what means can today’s world be saved? I would like to convey to you a message from God, to the six billion people in this age.

Because of the fall, all people have inherited Satan’s blood lineage. Fallen humanity has been waiting for someone who is of the lineage of heaven, who has no connection to Satan. This is the True Parents. They come as the Savior and Messiah of all humanity. They have the mission to ruthlessly cut down all wild olive trees growing for tens of thousands of years and engraft them into the true olive tree. This represents the change of human blood lineage. The True Parents come to complete this great endeavor on an inter-religious and international level.

The True Parents come in the “Last Days”. The time of the final providence. They know the providential timetable and work in line with it to bring the providence to its conclusion. The True Parents come with the authority to govern the spirit world and mobilize the four major founders of the world’s religions and myriads of good ancestors.

Humanity has entered a new realm of grace. Heavenly fortune has arrived. I openly declare to Heaven and Earth that I have received Heaven’s anointing and have come as the True Parent. We are now in the last days of God’s providence. This is the time of the Holy Blessing when humanity’s lineage will be changed from Satan’s to God’s blood lineage. The Era After the Coming of Heaven is now unfolding. Now, Heaven no longer condones that diseased and disordered world!

Practice a life of living for the sake of others and you will go through a revolution of character. This path will enable us to realize the Kingdom of God on earth—the Peace Kingdom.

Homeland Liberation
God would have blessed Adam and Eve in marriage had they not fallen. They would have become true parents with sinless children. Adam and Eve would have become the king and queen of their tribe, people and nation that would have continued eternally. This would have been humanity’s eternal homeland. All the world’s peoples would have lived as one family in accordance with the principles of absolute faith, love and obedience. Instead, we find ourselves divided from one another by all kinds of barriers and international boundaries planted by Satan.

What is true homeland liberation? It means to transform this world into a new nation, the true homeland. It emerges out of a process of re-creation through love. It is a part of the original creation, it has no borders, and bears no relationship to the fall. In realizing homeland liberation, we should love even our enemies. We find true homeland liberation on the path of loving our enemies. This love of enemies extends to family, tribe, nation and world enemies.

There are about 200 nations in the world, but has one brought God’s will into reality? All of the world’s people have Satan’s filthy blood lineage flowing in them. To remove this, you must experience a revolution of character, a true love revolution.

The Three Great Revolutions of True Love
How can we accomplish a revolution of character and come to resemble God? Because of the fall, we must go through three great revolutions to perfect our character: 1) A revolution through making atonement. 2) A revolution of conscience, and 3), a revolution of heart.

We must atone for the past in order to reclaim our right of ownership. You must purge yourself from all habits and thoughts accumulated in The Age Before the Coming of Heaven.
