The Holy Spirit and JesusFrom Page 1 God created man and all things in substantial forms by His Word and by His Spirit. (Gen.2:7; Jn.1:3-4). He also created man and all things in a pair system– male and female, after His image and likeness. Man is in God’s direct image and all things were created after His indirect image. As the Bible shows, God’s Word and Spirit embody both male and female characteristics. Through scriptures, God constantly reveals His paternal and maternal natures to us (Deut.32;6; Ps.27:10, Is.64:8). The most profound, complete and highest understanding of God, His Word and His (Holy) Spirit is that of His parental heart of love toward us. The complete and wholesome incarnation of God’s nature (Word and Spirit), on earth, would therefore be in the form of man and woman. Thus, God said it was “very good” after he created Eve for Adam. Although it was, and is not clearly understood in conventional Christianity, God wanted Jesus to restore his Bride (Ps.45:9;Mt.22:2) in the position of Eve. It is on this foundation that he would become the Everlasting father (Is.9:6), and establish his eternal lineage (Ps.45:16; 89:4). Jesus' restored Bride would then be the embodiment of the Holy Spirit and the feminine incarnation (in the flesh) of God’s word. However, due to the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus, God gave the Holy Spirit as the spiritual agent (Mother) for rebirth of believers (Jn.3:5, Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit, in the New Testament, is therefore fulfilling a more feminine role: to nurture, comfort, encourage, give new life, and lead people to Jesus who is in the position of "the spiritual father." [Next Issue: The Holy Spirit at the Second Coming] Divine PrincipleFrom Page 1 The Old Testament prophecies of the “Anointed one—the Messiah” are that he be accepted by the chosen people as their king and savior. He then establishes his lineage and the Kingdom of eternal peace.(Is,9:6-7; 11; 60; Ps.45; 89:19-37; et al). Jesus did his utmost to fulfill the ideal of God’s Kingdom. He pleaded for the Jews to believe and follow him as the promised Messiah.(e.g., Jn.5:39, 43-46; 8:24). He also performed many miracles with the intention of convincing them that God was working through him.(10:38). He gave great love to the people, forgiving them of their sins (Jn.8:3-11;Lk.7:48), encouraging them to be hopeful, comforting them and teaching them to love God and each other. |
Unable to win the hearts of the stubborn, hard-hearted Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes, he began to criticize them harshly. He blamed them of blocking the way of the people to the Kingdom of God and told them that it will be worse for them in the time of judgment than it will be for Sodom and Gomorrah. He accused them of having Satan as their father, because they desired to kill him.(Jn.8:37-44). The confrontations between Jesus and the unbelieving Jews took many turns. He then foresaw the end result; his crucifixion, and the resultant judgment of God against Israel. (Mt.16:21; Lk.19:42-44). Jesus’ death on the cross did not happen because God sent him to die for our sins, but because the Jews believed he was a false messiah, a destroyer of the Law and a blasphemer.(Jn.10:33; Mt.26:65-66). John the Baptist Where was John the Baptist in all of this? John was “the one who is to go before the lord (Jesus) to prepare his way.” (Lk.1:17&76). Did John fully accomplish this mission in helping the leaders and people of Israel to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah? Did he proclaim Jesus in Jerusalem and all of Judea? Initially, John proclaimed Jesus at the Jordan river after he baptized him as, “the Lamb of God who comes to take away the sins of the world.”( Jn.1:29). A few who were present at Jesus’ baptism by John, heard him. Two days after, Andrew and John who heard John the Baptist's declaration about Jesus, on that day, followed him (Jesus)and became his disciples.(1:35-37). But, John himself did not follow Jesus, he did not become his disciple, did not testify before the leaders of Israel about Jesus, did not take instructions from Jesus, and “he did not go before him (throughout Judea) to prepare his way”. Later, he doubted that Jesus was really the Messiah. (Matt.11:3). To Jesus’ disappointment, John became totally separated from him. ( Jn.3:26; 4:1;Matt.11:6,12). Continued in Next Issue Family is Forever Corner“God’s fundamental principle is to create through male and female. For a man and woman to share absolute love however, they should have only one partner. There is absolutely only one man for each woman and one woman for each man. Tragically, in the world today we see children who have had as many as ten stepfathers. How false and degraded love has become!
The discipline of love between men and women is the foundation of the universe. We must not abuse our love as if we were animals. Our love can only have one owner (your spouse). There can be only one. This is the absolute law. ” |
