At the consummation of the New Testament Age, the antichrist is prophesied to appear before the Lord (2Thess.2:3;1Jn.2:18, Rev.13). There is much speculation, and a cacophony of views abound in denominational circles regarding this topic. It is however said in the Bible that, “the Lord will reveal this man of sin at His Coming.” (2Thess.2:8 ).

Rev. Moon, whom God has sent as the Messiah and True Parent of the Completed Testament Age, has clearly declared, in his many sermons; that Joseph Stalin, former communist leader of the now collapsed Soviet Union (USSR), came as the antichrist, “the antitype of the Lord of the Second Coming; Satan’s messiah figure.”

Joseph Stalin, “the dictator of dictators” and the engine of Communism (totalitarian dictatorship) have been the historical menaces of the age, dominating over two thirds of the world’s population through violent revolution. Karl Marx, the prophet of totalitarian Communism, wrote the Comminist Manifesto (1848) and formulated the ideology of dialectic materialism which became the driving force of Communism. In Marxism, God is denied, and Christianity is denounced as “the opiate of the masses.” Stalin, himself, conducted the greatest massacres in history to advance global Communism (Hitler’s Nazism paled in comparison). It’s thorough-going dialectical and historical materialism of Marxism-Leninism permeated all aspects of life and culture, and there was no established religion that escaped its influence.

In the heyday of communist expansionism, Rev. Moon prophesied that “Communism will fall in its 70th year. It began in 1917, will reach its peak after 60 years, in 1978; and after 70 years will altogether be ruined.” (S.M.Moon, The Way of Restoration, 1972, Paris, France).

In 1984, while communists launched “peace movements” everywhere and enjoyed global popularity and dominance, Rev. Moon (under unpopular circumstances, but having full confidence in God and His providence) organized conferences worldwide declaring the “End of Communism.” Though he was severely criticized and many of the world leaders working with him were very skeptical, nevertheless, he stayed the course. On schedule, Communism, beginning in 1988, met its demise.
