My hobbies and interests include reading, ranging from  science fiction to studies on political science.  I also enjoy a variety of music, my favorites from most to least are, classical, hindi, country, blues and pop. I like most music but can't stand heavy metal, most rap, or ska. As of August 2000 I have taken up photography, not in any great way but just for the fun of it, and I love it. The  sports I like are hiking, biking, tennis and bowling.  As you can see I am not into team sports.  Nor am I very good at organized sports.  I enjoy watching tennis, diving and Australian rules football on TV. When it comes to the American  sports of Baseball, Basketball and American  Football I can generally do with out them, but to go watch any of these live can be enjoyable. Things I enjoy but either don't do as often as I would like or don't get much chance to do range from  going to the opera, symphony or seeing plays to traveling, or an evening with good food, good conversation & good friends.  My Favorate Quote: "Three passions simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life:  the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind."
