HARRY GARFORTH 1887-1929
This is my grandfather who served in WW1 with the Yorks and Lancs regiment.He
worked at Woolley Colliery and lived in the row of houses built there.
I got started in family history just over two years ago when I got
my first computer,I got to know as muchs possible from my father ,I then went to the library and checked the census and found out we came from the Huddersfield area.From there on I have been going to Huddersfield library doing my research where I have got back to the 1600's.

This is Bar House,the old toll bar at Fenney Bridge. In the 1851 census my gt,gt grandfather George Garforth was living there with his brother David and sister Sarah.
