3.1d Confusion

It can be acknowledged that computers, while being very useful - can, at the same time, be very confusing.

Particularly for the older generation, the development and knowledge of computers has built up very fast. The ever changing face of computing has constantly perplexed people. Such confusion can lead to panic about the use of a computer. This can drive employees away.
There can be no denying that computers will not always "agree" with the user, and as a result, many books and supplements have been published to aid any person in need of straightforward reference. Small booklets can also be helpful to introduc e the computer to a new owner of a company or business. They can outline the uses of the computer and how to use them with the appropriate software.
It can be said that there will always be people confused about how computers are used. This also applies to electronics as opposed to mechanical mechanisms. People will understand how a mechanism (such as a cog) will work - but looking at a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) with all its copper tracks and components - it creates confusion.

There are also many drawbacks to computers. They can actually make our lives worse. A business that relies heavily upon the flow of information through the company (via computer) can grind to a stand-still if the computer fails to work or breaks down. They may be worse off than if they never had a computer system in the first place. There can also be personal problems because of the computer. The computer is just as capable of causing problems as well as solving them.
