Dark Refrains Georgina Hannah Ormrod
Dark Refrains
Georgina Hannah Ormrod
The dark sky stretches as far as we can see
And all around the world is barren and decay
With obtrusive mists between meagre landmarks.
There are so many lonely souls wandering
Through this suffocating gloaming,
Fading in and out of existence -diaphorous.
With many terrifying things to discover
I search for some lucent entity
To trust in its presence.
I reach for your hand and grasp it firmly,
You are the only being I trust in,
My luminating friend I shall share all with.
