JoyNext Poem Dark Refrains Poem Index                       Mail MeThe Great American Plain stretches
To the grey-violet mountains
On the edge of our world.
Dust and dirt for miles and miles
And not a single soul in sight
Only the Sun, the breeze and us.
We sing and sing, and dance and dance
Until the whole landscape
Is filled with our presence.
The Sun our spotlight,
The wind a messenger,
A lifelong cabaret of two.
