Dark Refrains

Georgina Hannah Ormrod

Kiss Of Death

She came to me in a dream,
An angel of death
Who fell to Earth
Guided by an autumnal starbeam.

She was a vision of loveliness
With temptation on her lips
And the glimmer of suborning in her eyes
Led me to take a subliminal kiss.

Memories of my life ran through my head
As I fell through a divine nightmare
with mystic lamentations and gothic chorus
From a land exalted.

Was this my end? Was I alive?
I had seen heavens of love and lust
And yet had cheated death,
Don’t kiss deeply, you’ll survive.
