Everyone knew that no one could follow in the footsteps of fame as Thriller. Not even Michael Jackson could himself. Bad itself was a pretty good album, but did not match the expectations of Michael. Thriller was definately best selling, and Bad just didn't make the cut. With only 3 number ones, Bad was a flop to the public.
