Concepts in Leadership
The methodology and various secrets and attributes of being a successful leader are what students are taught in the “Concepts in Leadership” class.  A small summary of what the class includes is given in this report.

Useful Learning
Class is very interesting and the way it is taught is very helpful.  It is taught in a way were the students have responsibilities and face up to the values of becoming a leader.  Students present in a formal way every day and it helps become comfortable speaking in front of an audience in a professional manner.  The instructor makes corrections, moments after each presentation.
Also a positive thing about the class is that not only the marking of the presentation is given instantly, but it is also given publicly.  Many people will not like the idea of this because they consider marking private.  But this helps the students become competitive and if their markings are not as good as the others, then they work towards catching up to the rest and becoming better and better.
On top of the daily presentations, readings and class notes, students maintain their own WebPages.  These WebPages include some personal information of the student, a picture of the person, all class assignments and also anything all the class notes that the particular student has taken.  Many students choose to go beyond this and add their own links to their favorite sites and pictures of friends and family.

Improvement Suggestions
Some things that could improve in this class, is the weekly assignment load students have to carry.  A weekly assignment is given on top of all the readings and maintaining/uploading of the home page.  The assignments could be broader and maybe a break should be given to students after a particular number of assignments, i.e. after three assignments take a week without an assignment.
Also the time spent on learning how to create WebPages was two class meetings in the beginning of the year.  Most students learned how to create a basic page but the expectations are much higher.  Students are expected to know how to upload pictures and post them on the web without being taught how to do it.  So at often times students need to try and seek help from others who are involved in Web Page designing.  This can be difficult at times and it can be changed if students spend a bit more time on the web page designing with an expert during class time.

Winding Up
Overall, the class is very interesting and students in it are becoming familiar with the concepts of leadership.  Also the presentations are a resemblance of hands on experience of the concepts we are being taught.  Students apply concepts and ideas of leadership and also analyze the process of current leadership in action.  The class is looking forward to learning the practice of these concepts, next semester.
