Just As... (Part II) |
Just as the sun cloaks its light, I know that we are not right. Just as the clouds darken the heavens above, I know that I must suffocate my love. Just as the lightening flashes across the sky, I realize there is no you and I. Just as the thunder shakes the ground, I know I must forget what I found! Just as the wind fiercely rushes by, I know that I must say goodbye. Just as the birds’ melody falls silent, I know our dying is imminent. Just as the sky fades to black, I know I cannot get you back. Just as the rain begins to pour, I know that I will touch you no more. Just as my heart starts to whither, I still ache for us to be together. Just as my body starts to shiver, Your warmth, I know I’ll feel never. Just as my hand reaches out to you, I see that you’re no longer in view. Just as my eyes vainly search the dark, I know they’ll never find their mark. Just as my ears strain for your whisper, My feelings for you, they stir. Just as your kiss lingers on my lips, I know my hold on you slips. Just as my mouth releases a sigh, I cannot help but wonder why. Just as the dead leaves rustle about my feet, My soul, it feels so incomplete. Just as I finally turn around, My weeping, the only sound, I beg for the heaviness to lift And to set my weary heart adrift. So another will find and cherish That which would otherwise perish. |
